Taking a Dog or Cat to China from the UK: Pet Travel Guide

Bringing your dog or cat from the United Kingdom to China is generally a relatively

straightforward process. In most cases, the key requirements are a compliant microchip, a valid

rabies vaccination, and an Export Health Certificate (EHC) completed by an Official Veterinarian (OV).

China permits one dog or cat per accompanying adult, so if you are travelling with more than one

pet, additional arrangements may be required.

Your pet must have a working microchip, and the microchip number should match their vaccination and travel documents.

Dogs and cats travelling to China must have a valid rabies vaccination recorded on an official rabies vaccination certificate.
