Taking a dog or cat to Egypt from the UK

Travelling with a dog or cat from the UK to Egypt requires several steps to be completed in the correct order. The timing is particularly important because the final health examination and Export Health Certificate must be completed shortly before travel.

Step by step guide: Taking your cat or dog from the UK to Egypt

Owner Declaration

A declaration must confirm your pet is being exported from the UK and has not been imported into the UK within the previous 6 months.

Export Health Certificate

Following the examination, the required EHC will be completed and certified by our Official Veterinarian.

Legalisation

The completed EHC must then be legalised in the UK and by the Egyptian Consulate before travel. Allow several working days for this process.
