These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the London Pet Travel Certificates website and any services provided by us. By using our website, submitting an enquiry, or booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.

1) About us

London Pet Travel Certificates (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides veterinary travel documentation services including, but not limited to:

  • Animal Health Certificates (AHCs)

  • Export Health Certificates (EHCs)

  • Fit to Fly certificates

  • Official Veterinarian (OV) checks and supporting export documentation (including OV66-related services where applicable)

We are UK-qualified veterinary surgeons and Official Veterinarians.

2) Website use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:

  • Misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, or introduce malicious code

  • Copy, reproduce, or republish website content for commercial purposes without permission

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

We may update or withdraw any part of the website at any time.

3) Information on the website

The information on this website is provided for general guidance only. Pet travel rules can change and may vary depending on:

  • Destination country requirements

  • Airline or carrier rules

  • Your route and transit countries

  • Your pet’s medical history and vaccination status

You are responsible for confirming travel requirements with relevant authorities and your transport provider. We will provide guidance based on the information available to us at the time of consultation.

4) Booking and enquiries

When you submit an enquiry or booking form, you agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete

  • You will provide supporting documentation promptly when requested

  • You will respond to clarification questions where necessary to allow us to prepare certificates correctly

Appointments are only confirmed once we have agreed a date/time and (where applicable) a booking deposit or payment has been received.

5) Owner responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • Your pet is presented on time for the appointment

  • Your pet can be safely handled for examination and microchip scanning

  • Your pet’s microchip is functioning and readable

  • You provide valid evidence of vaccinations, treatments, and any required supporting documents

  • You comply with airline, carrier, and destination import requirements

Where certificates require specific time windows, you are responsible for booking sufficiently in advance.

6) Certificate eligibility and clinical discretion

All certificates are issued at the discretion of the attending veterinary surgeon, based on:

  • Clinical examination findings

  • Documentation provided

  • Legal and certification requirements applicable to the destination

We may decline to issue a certificate if:

  • The pet is not clinically fit to travel

  • Documentation is missing, inconsistent, or does not meet requirements

  • The timeline does not allow compliance with legal requirements

  • There are welfare concerns or certification rules cannot be met

Where we cannot certify, we will explain the reason clearly and discuss possible next steps.

7) Timescales and document accuracy

We aim to prepare documentation carefully and accurately. However:

  • Issuing a certificate may depend on receiving correct documentation from you or third parties

  • Some exports require laboratory results, third-party endorsements, or external approvals outside our control

  • Travel rules can change without notice

Please review all documents carefully upon receipt and notify us immediately if you believe there is an error.

8) Fees and payment

Our fees will be communicated before the booking.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Fees are payable in full at least 7 days prior to the appointment

  • Additional charges may apply for urgent bookings, multiple pets, extra admin time, or travel outside our usual area

  • Where home visits are booked, access/parking must be available and any parking fees may be chargeable where applicable

9) Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

To reserve sufficient time for each certification visit, all appointments require a booking deposit.

Booking Deposit

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your appointment.
Appointments are not secured until the deposit has been received.

The deposit is deducted from your final invoice total.

Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is payable at the appointment by bank transfer. Certification documents will only be issued once full payment has been received.

Cancellations & Appointment Changes

Because certification appointments are time-sensitive and often cannot be reallocated at short notice, the following rebooking terms apply:

     More than 7 days’ notice

  • Your appointment can be rescheduled once without additional charge

  • Your original £50 deposit is retained and applied to the new appointment

  • New date is subject to availability

48 hours to 7 days’ notice

  • Your original deposit is retained

  • An additional £25 rebooking deposit is required to secure a new appointment

  • New booking is subject to availability

    Less than 48 hours’ notice

  • Your original deposit is retained

  • A new £50 deposit is required to secure another appointment

  • New booking is subject to availability

    If We Need to Cancel

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your appointment, any fees paid — including your deposit — will be refunded in full or transferred to a new appointment date, if preferred.

10) Travel risk and limitation of liability

Pet travel involves risks outside of our control, including carrier decisions and border authority actions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not responsible for refusal of travel by airlines/cargo handlers or refusal of entry by destination authorities

  • We are not liable for losses arising from changes to travel rules, delays, missed flights, quarantine decisions, or incomplete/incorrect information provided by the owner

  • Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service, except where liability cannot be limited by law

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded.

11) Third-party services and links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., airlines, government guidance). We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party websites.

12) Intellectual property

All website content (text, branding, images, logos) is owned by London Pet Travel Certificates or used with permission. You may not copy or reproduce content without written consent.

13) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the updated date shown at the top.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
